Considering Jewelry Price

When you have decided to make a jewelry purchase whether as a gift for someone, or perhaps for yourself, you will want to condsider pricing.  In thirty years, I have seen many consumers shell out more money than they initially intended. So I recommend you really think about the price you are willing to spend, and what it is you want to purhase.

First, determine yor budget.  Many fine jewelry stores offer nice items for $99 and higher.  Don’t forget though, that this price will not include the tax and extended service plans.  (We’ll talk more on what extended service plans cover in another article). Warranty prices are determined by the cost of the merchandise.  There are no “flat” rates for warranties in the jewelry stores.  For example, a $99 item may have an additional warranty price of $29, but the $149 item will cost an additional $39 for the warranty.  So keep this in mind when considering your budget.

Another thing to consider with price is will you pay with cash or check, credit card, or do you want an in-store account?  Most jewerly stores will definately try to get you to use their store account so you can spend more and pay them more over time.  If you do that, credit protection plans will then be introduced to you for an additional monthy fee based on your monthy balance.  BEWARE!

On line shopping is a little bit more to the point.  You can pay with your own checking or debit account (no interest) or with your major credit card.

So remember, price consideration is not just about the price of the jewelry piece.

    * How much do you want to pay, TOTAL?  Decide.

*Do you want to pay it all now or over time?  Decide.

*Then go ahead and buy the gift that will make you and/or your loved one happy.  Enjoy!
